Did you know...

 

  1. Apple's iWork Apps are FREE for devices purchased after 9/1/13 - including iMovie, Keynote, Numbers, Pages, and iPhoto

  2. There are multiple apps that allow you and your students to CREATE presentations such as the iWork apps above, Haiku Deck, 30 Hands, Slide Pocket, and Our Story for iPad

  3. You can use Guided Access to keep younger kids on task.

  4. The latest models of iDevices allow you to wirelessly "Air Drop" links, photos, videos, and more.

  5. Air Play tools allow you to project images from your devices wirelessly to a projector.

  6. Polling apps like Socrative, Kahoot, and Plickers allow you to use an iDevice as a "clicker".

  7. There are large collections of Educational apps on the iTunes Store, and websites such as TCEA, Graphite by Common Sense Media, and EdTechTeacher that have evaluated many of them for you already.

  8. Your iPad can read aloud text if you turn the Spech Selection feature on in Settings>Accessibility.

  9. There are often SALES on apps.  Follow @freeappalert or download Apps Gone Free for alerts.
